Definition of terms

Guide: a person designated by the Provider to conduct a guided tour.

Guided tour: A guided tour refers to the services of a guide.

Customer: A customer is an entity that booked a guided tour of a provider.

Booking Policy

After making an order, you should receive a booking confirmation to the email address provided to us. Please contact us on the website or by email at praguelhtours@gmail.com if you do not receive a booking confirmation within ten minutes, as it might mean that your order has not been successfully processed. Please check your spam folder if the booking confirmation does not appear in your inbox. Please also check that the email address you entered was the correct one.

Upon arrival at the guided tour, you may be asked to present email confirmation of your booking, or to provide a valid picture ID (passport, driver’s license, official educational ID).

Price and Payment Terms and Conditions

The price of a guided tour in CZK is visible on the website. The guided tours are free for children under the age of 12, however they must be accompanied by an adult for the full duration of the tour. Customers with more than five children under the age of 12 are required to make a tailored bid. The final price including VAT, discounts, or surcharges is displayed to the customer before the payment confirmation. A booking confirmation will be sent to the email address the Customer will provide.

Payments on our official website are taken using the Stripe payment system, and the tour guide will have a portable SumUp card terminal during the tour should the customer wish to provide a tip, or for customers who wish to join the tour without prior arrangement. Tips or participation without prior arrangement can also be paid for using cash in either CZK or EUR.

Customer will be provided with instructions, a meeting point and a meeting time by email, and these details are also visible on the website. Customers must arrive at least 5 minutes before the tour starting time. Late arrivals will not be refunded. All tours are provided in English.

Personal data protection

The Customer acknowledges that the Provider shall process their personal data to the extent of first name, surname, billing address, phone number, and email address in order to distribute relevant business information, in particular tour instructions and review collection. The Provider may send the business information by email, or phone. The Provider will never provide your personal information to any third-party. However, the Provider reserves the right to provide your personal information to third-parties for the purpose of conducting a guided tour, such as when personal tickets are required, or when necessary to comply with a legal obligation imposed by the state and its agencies or other entities tasked to carry out the state’s authority.

Cancellation terms and conditions

The customer will be fully refunded if they notify the provider of their cancellation before 23:00 UTC+1 on the day before the Guided Tour. Any later refund requests will not be accepted. The refund will be sent to the customer’s account within 14 days of a refund request.

Late Arrivals

Your guided tour is booked specifically for the duration of time listed in the service description on the website. If the customer or customer’s group is running late, the customer is expected to contact the guide to inform them of this on the phone number +420 603 921 950. If the customer or customer’s group arrives more than 15 minutes late, the guide reserves the right to cancel the provision of the guided tour, or to depart with other participants from the start location without the customer or customer’s group.

Admission Policy

Participation in a Prague Literary and Historical Tours tour is strictly voluntary. Prague Literary and Historical Tours, its contractors, and employees assume no liability or responsibility for any injury, loss, damage, inconvenience, sustained by any person using its services. We will not be held in any way responsible for to injuries to body, person, or property incurred during the tour. We accept no liability for the loss of personal belongings during the tour. The Customer shall not separate from the group throughout the guided tour and shall follow instructions of the guide. Separation from the group and suspension of participation in the guided tour does not entitle the customer to a refund. The provider reserves the right to expel customer or customer’s group from the tour when they cause a disturbance with the guide, the public or other members of the guided tour. Change to and cancellation of provision of the Guided Tour

Should no service be provided, the Provider will inform the Customer immediately without undue delay, and return the sum no later than 14 days after cancellation.

Complaints policy

Should a Guided Tour be defective, the Customer can submit a complaint to the Provider without undue delay, best immediately after completion of the Guided Tour. The Provider shall confirm receipt of the complaint to the Customer and decide the legitimacy of the complaint and claims of the Customer without undue delay, not later than 30 days, and send their decision to the Customer’s contact e-mail address.

Formation of the Contract

1. The provider organizes Guided Tours

2. The Service Contract (hereinafter referred to as “Contract”) is concluded:

for bids available from the Provider’s website effective upon completion of the online reservation process. The Provider shall confirm the conclusion of the Contract by sending a note to the Customer’s contact e-mail address;

for tailored bids, a specific bid shall be arranged by the Provider based on the Customer’s demand to be sent to the Customer’s contact e-mail address, and the Contract is concluded at the moment of consent with the offer of the Provider.

Final Provisions

Matters not stipulated explicitly herein shall be governed by the Czech laws, in particularly applicable provisions of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil code, as amended.

The present general terms and conditions shall be valid and effective for contracts concluded after 16.08.2023.
